If you have a strong hand against a maniac, you should just re-raise by a small amount. The idea is that you want to give a maniac the room to try and re-raise you off your strong hand. You shouldn’t put in a big re-raise against maniacs. If you re-raise too big and the maniac has nothing, he will never call a big raise.
